Oh, I think should rephrase my description; Safari doesn't actually use 8GB of ram + 5-7GB of swap _alone_, but it seems to be the reason for draining memory; I can leave my computer on, using exactly the same software I normally use, except Safari, and I don't have this issue.

I've downloaded the latest WebKit nightly. I'll try using this for a while, to see if it helps.
