I'm able to reproduce this problem on windows.  Furthermore, it seems like I can switch the args of the ImageDiff command, and it always fails on the first png being given to it.  So its unlikely to do with the validity of the png itself.

I'll keep digging into it, but only for a short while.  If I can solve it, I'll take ownership of this bug.
