I can confirm that this page is displayed the same (presumably broken) way in Safari 5.0.5 and nightly r84360 on Mac OS X 10.6.6. Both use the Meera_04-2.ttf TrueType font automatically downloaded from the web, but Firefox 4 fails to use it, so all it gets is boxes with numbers. 

I don't know how much of the problem is WebKit fault, and how much is the Meera_04-2 font fault, given that Firefox refuses to use the font even if I download and install it locally. I didn't attempt to install the other font you mentioned, since that probably wouldn't affect Safari anyway.
