Summary: Should WebInspectorClient::sendMessageToFrontend()
really be synchronous?
Product: WebKit
Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
Platform: All
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Web Inspector
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: simon.fraser at apple.com
CC: pfeldman at chromium.org, yurys at chromium.org
Bug 46224 shows a stack where a call to WebInspectorClient::sendMessageToFrontend() causes script to run, resulting in bad things happening. This seems bad. Why isn't WebInspectorClient::sendMessageToFrontend() async?
