Hi, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry for my slow response.

At first, could you explain about "css reset files"? 
It is something like http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/3/cssreset/, right?
I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with these techniques.

Second, why not left them untouched?
-webkit-meter-* properties are intend to customize the <meter> appearance and 
assumed that they are used only on some minor cases.

Third, for child elements that is not shown, we should discuss it separately.
Please file it as a another bug. I suspect that other form elements also don't show children and 
even the HTML5 standard doesn't require such behavior. It is not clear though. 

Anyway, I appreciate your feedback, and hope we have many real-world users like you!
