The r71499 nightly works fine for me with Safari 5.0.2 installed on Windows XP.

Tom, can you please do the following?
1) Download ProcDump from <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx> and extract it somewhere
2) Launch the nightly
3) While the error dialog is showing, run the following command: procdump Safari
4) Upload the .dmp file it generates to this bug

The .dmp file will help us figure out what's going wrong here.
