The test should have Mac-specific results then, to guarantee that this doesn't regress.

I'm not sure how to decide where this is desirable. I'd expect Windows Safari to behave the same as Mac Safari does. And maybe Mac versions of all WebKit-based browsers. Or perhaps all WebKit based browsers should work the same - there is no discussion of actual user facing problems here, so I'm not sure what exactly needs to be fixed.
