Summary: Huge difference in wheelDelta between Webkit and
Safari
Product: WebKit
Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
Platform: Macintosh Intel
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML DOM
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: martin.wittemann at 1und1.de
During the development I realized that the scrolling of Webkit (4.0.5
(6531.22.7, r56431)) is much faster than in every other browser, even much
faster than in the latest stable Safari (4.0.5 (6531.22.7)).
After investigating a bit I realized that the wheelDelta is usually about 10 to
100 times higher in the nightlies than in Safari. Maybe it has something to do
with my hardware too. Just in case, I use an apple mighty mouse.
I attached a demo page to see the wheelDelta in the log. Just check the data in
the two different browsers to see the difference.
