I based my comment on reading an older version of the standard, where seemingly
"keypress" was not (supposed to be) availabe as a separate creatable event. 

The latest DOM-L3 draft does describe (but deprecates) keypress in interface
KeyboardEvent (http://www.w3.org/TR/DOM-Level-3-Events/#events-keyboardevents).
