I'm trying to build wxwebkit following http://wxwebkit.wxcommunity.com/index.php?n=Main.BuildInstructions, but I get stuck in the first step:

When I do "git clone git://gitorious.org/wxwebkit/wxwebkit.git" I get the following output:

~/tmp/wxwebkit/git $ git clone git://gitorious.org/wxwebkit/wxwebkit.git 
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/xxxxxx/tmp/wxwebkit/git/wxwebkit/.git/
remote: Counting objects: 768180, done.
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: early EOF
fatal: index-pack failed

If I try to download master.tar.gz via http, it starts downloading a 188MB file!

I'm using git 1.6.4.4 on Gentoo.
