I can't find a good way to make a testcase for this, as it seems to happen for any video at any time with any configuration, randomly. Sometimes, the controls appear on mousein but disappear again 1/2 a second later, then do the same on mouseout. Even though they're hidden, the pause button at least still seems to be clickable.
