You should feel welcome to re-open this bug.  We could also approach this by
using something like "keyring":
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32728#c1 to support keychain-like
applications on more platforms.  Now that autoinstall support has landed,
depending on something like keyring is super-simple.
