It's an very strange bug. It only happens in the bottom input field of Google's
search result page, the upper one is normal. When you select a piece of text by
mouse from right to left (selection from left to right is normal), if your
cursor is beyond the input tab while you are still holding your left button,
the selection would be cancelled.

I can confirm this with Qt 4.6.1 in rekonq and arora
