This bug affects both WebKit on Windows and Chromium.  See:

I wrote a layout test for it, but it doesn't seem to be able to reproduce the
bug.  The bug only occurs if you close the browser window, not if you call
window.close() from JavaScript.

I do have a Chromium UI test ready to commit that shows the bug is fixed on
that side.
