All controls (volume, resolution, playback speed, etc.) appear at bottom of
page, and are thereby inaccessible as they disappear when the mouse leaves the
video frame. 

Must be using the HTML5 version of Youtube.

Note: They can be accessed by hovering over then right clicking on the button,
then clicking on the control as the browser never reports that the mouse left
the frame
