r=me, but with the HapticsType replaced with a String before landing. The type is very likely to change in the future, so a string seems like a safer option (as discussed on IRC).

For the moment this is just an interface and the idea of landing it in the trunk is so that vendor patch maintenance becomes easier while retaining the same compatible and stable interface everywhere.
