Summary: Using background-clip: text with a gradient renders as
                    pure black on iPad Safari
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: Other
               URL: http://panic.com/~cabel/bugs/ipad-text.html
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Layout and Rendering
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: cabel at panic.com

(iPad wasn't a platform choice, so I wonder if I'm filing this at the wrong
place. Should this be in Radar? Anyway, here goes!)

SUMMARY:
We are using WebKit's "-webkit-gradient" and "-webkit-background-clip: text"
features to apply a gradient to text.

EXPECTED:
We figured this text would appear the same on Desktop Safari and iPad Safari,
with a colored gradient.

ACTUAL:
The text renders in pure black on iPad Safari — but works fine on all other
WebKit platforms.

MISC:
See the included URL to reproduce the problem.
