It is possible that name resolution works differently in Firefox when a
variable named "self" is defined than it does in Safari/WebKit. This would be a
bug we'd like to investigate - please feel free to provide a test case that
works differently in Safari than it does in Firefox, and re-open this bug. Or
you could file a new bug to reduce possible future confusion.
