Screenshot of the aberrant text rendering (look at the leftmost-tip of j's
descender).

Hi gentlemen!

I was working on a webpage today and noticed that WebKit (Safari 4, Chrome Dev
4.0.211.2, and WebKit Nightly r48518) on Mac OS X 10.6 (and 10.5, incidentally)
(Safari 4 and Chrome Dev 4.0.211.2) suffers from a text rendering bug.

When changing the color of a piece of text using CSS, the text mask is somehow
incorrectly computed. Attached is a screenshot demonstrating the effect.
Specifically, look at the leftmost-tip of j's descender. It's black. Not pink,
as it should be.

Also, if you go to http://tma-0.ucsd.edu/blog/ one can see the phenomenon first
hand by hovering over the title "journal!".

Good hunting!
