I had emailed you and Maciej a few weeks ago about this, to see if you're
interested in doing something that works for both Safari and Chrome, but I
never heard back so I did something just for Chrome. If you'd like something
like this for JSC based browsers, I'd be happy to look into it. Otherwise I
think this doesn't preclude Chrome from solving this problem for now. This is
a big issue, i.e. some pages have upwards of 2 seconds of sleep in their unload
handlers.
