Or rather: did Twitter continue to work after you deleted Google Gears and
Inquisitor and then re-enabeld plug-ins in Safari's preferences?  If so, I
think this bug should be closed and a bug report filed with either Google Gears
or Inquisitor's developers (depending on which is at fault).
