selected text has turned gray (originally yellow)

The last few builds (currently on r51075) discolor/desaturate rendered elements
upon scrolling. This happens continuously: in the attached examples, the
selected text starts out bright yellow and darkens down to gray. Since I can
upload only one picture, I cannot document how the effect progresses. This also
happens with other elements of web pages such as images and links.
