There is a blocking issue in the networking library underneath WebKit.

This bug is closely related to https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26496
and - in that case - we were able to implement a somewhat effective series of
workarounds in WebKit:

It's unclear we can do anything more at this time.
