Ah, I see.  Well, from that it looks like Firefox is broken there: I can only
see the bouncing ball when it's in the top left corner of the plugin window. 
WebKit with my patch works great: I can see the purple star, and the ball moves
around on top of it, but semi-transparent such that you can see the star
underneath it as it moves.
