I modified the interactive test case and had a play with it in Firefox 3
yesterday. Their rendering seems to match the strategy image that Simon
uploaded.
Unless one of the recent commenters is keen to fix this themselves, I'll take
another look at a this bug over the next few days. By the looks, I think our
code is a little too convoluted and results in far too many broken edge cases
currently.
I won't assign it to me until tomorrow in case someone else has more of a
chance to create a patch.
