Summary: Webkit failed to open correctly
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 420+
          Platform: Macintosh PowerPC
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit Misc.
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: mike.challen at talk21.com

Using Safari Beta 4 / with WebKit nightlies, currently Version 4 Public Beta
(4528.16, r43444)

with G4 PPC (dual 1.42Ghz) with Tiger OSX 10.4.11, I always experience an error
message on launching WebKit:

'WebKit failed to open correctly on your previous attempt. Please disable any
Safari extensions that you may have installed. If the problem continues to
occur, please file a bug report .... '

Also when launching web-pages via links from other applications, WebKit
launches again (as an independent program window), with the same error message,
rather than in a contained tab.

These errors do not occur when using Safari Version 4 Public Beta (4528.16) as
the default browser

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #24942 +++

I have Safari Beta 4 on my Apple G4 PowerPC Powerbook.

I get this message everytime I open WebKit. Present version -Version 4 Public
Beta (4528.16, r42114

WebKit failed to open correctly on your previous attempt. Please disable any
Safari extensions that you may have installed.....

I don't have any Safari extensions, though I do have Safari 4 Modifier which
turns off the new features in Safari 4 Beta. But I get the error message even
when I go back to the default features of Safari 4.
