Summary: Need a way to limit CSS animation framerate (or CPU
                    usage)
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: Macintosh
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: CSS
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: dino at apple.com
                CC: simon.fraser at apple.com, cmarrin at apple.com

Lots of complaints that CSS animations are great for the manufacturers of CPU
fans. As well as turning animations off, we probably need some way to limit
framerate or CPU usage.

IIRC Opera does something like this for SVG.
