Hello

When editing tables in a content editable element it is not possible to select
a column of cells, making actions like merging cells impossible. Firefox gets
around this by doing a clever selection specifically for tables, allowing you
to select any combination of cells.

it would be really helpful for HTML editors etc, if this was implemented in
webkit.
