Summary: Selection extends beyond the element
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: All
               URL: http://news.bbc.co.uk
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: HTML DOM
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: aodholionaird at hotmail.com

When you click multiple times in quick succession (double click?), an
unexpected selection occurs which extends beyond the element on which the
clicks were performed. This seems to occur on the last element only. The
following CSS rule was tried but without success: -webkit-user-select:none; The
rule does change what becomes selected but doesn't achieve the desired effect
i.e. no selection.

The effect can be seen on the news ticker widget seen here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk (as of March 2009). Press the right most navigation
button rapidly to cause the highlight.
