Summary: Simple images with opacity might not need
                    CGTransparencyLayers
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: Macintosh
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Layout and Rendering
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: dino at apple.com

I'm sharking WebKit running opacity animations on images and note that a lot of
time is spent ending the CGTransparencyLayers. There are probably cases where
this (slower) path can be avoided.
