isn't it a weird coincidence that all the webkit browsers are affected by the
same bug? Maybe webkit doesn't report a POST the same way when it's submitted
from a FORM and when it's submitted through JS. Fixing that on Webkit would fix
all the affected browsers, not only safari but chrome and others.
