I understand that reviewer(s) want smaller pieces, but afaics, Luke is proving
his dedication to provide solution for the real problem by providing code, i.e.
putting his real hours into coding, and it would be, imho, fair that the patch
is allowed into the codebase and then reviewed afterwards.

The present situation is lose/lose - the codebase is missing functionality -
complete DOM bindings - which nobody else wants to or has time to provide,
while the end-users are also left in despair forcing them to go somewhere else
:-(
