I think what you're saying is that <svg:image xlink:href="anyimage.jpg">
doesn't work?

So in other words, that image display and loading seems to be broken for the
svg <image> tag.  I've not yet verified in ToT, but I have seen that in my
Safari 4 developer preview it loads just fine.
