Many thanks!  We hope to try to test this when our schedule eases up a little. 
In the meantime, have you looked at things in Accerciser from both the
hierarchy perspective as well as the event perspective?  A side-by-side
comparison of the same web content shown in WebKit and Firefox might yield a
lot of insight.
