No, I did not change the default appearance.  If I'm not mistaken the default
appearance of links on Safari is black and normally change to red when visited. 

The point is:  it doesn't matter what the default appearance is; when a link is
visited it's supposed to change color.  It seems to work properly for me except
on my.yahoo.com or yahoo.com.  Have no problem with my.excite.com or as
explained before on other browsers, even on my.yahoo.com.
