There are many other points that shows that a GraphicsItem based widget would
be a win for QtWebKit. Many different teams, people have already implemented
this, such as one for QML, one for Plasma, etc.

I have been told today that the KDE team is very interested in this work, and
would like to use it in their new Silk project.

It should also be noted that using the proxy widget will result in full update
of the viewport for each scroll operation, something not desirable, especially
on slow, embedded devices.
