Summary: Changing the page encoding clears all forms
Product: WebKit
Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Keywords: InChromiumBugs
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Forms
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: jshin at chromium.org
1. Type something in textarea of text input field
2. Change the character encoding
3. All forms are cleared.
There's a very long standing gecko bug on this (almost 10 years old). IE also
has the same issue.
I was bitten by this issue multiple times here and mozilla bugzilla (before it
switched to UTF-8).
It's also http://crbug.com/18868
