If Safari is set to open any sort of home page, even about:blank, then the
location bar is not focused. If it is set to open a "blank page" then the
location bar is focused. I understand that the former is the expected behavior
of most users, but it is impossible to create a workaround, at least with
Javascript. There should be some way for the user to autofocus the location bar
on tab creation.
