Summary: FriendFeed crashes WebKit nightly almost constantly
Product: WebKit
Version: 528+ (Nightly build)
Platform: Macintosh
URL: http://friendfeed.com
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: New Bugs
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: gfesteves at gmail.com
Hello,
Visiting FriendFeed causes WebKit (r36882) to crash, very often, usually after
following a link to another page within FF. So far the most consistent way I've
found to reproduce the crash is to go to any FriendFeed page (it should load
normally, although it sometimes crashes on the first try), then click on
someone's name to go to their profile. The browser will almost certainly crash
before it finishes loading the page. If it doesn't, click on another FriendFeed
internal link. It'll crash sooner or later.
This seems to be a recent bug, because it didn't happen in the previous nightly
I used. I can't remember what version it was, unfortunately, but it wasn't more
than a week old.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck reducing the bug. I'll keep trying, but
I could use some help with that. All I know so far is that if I disable
JavaScript from the Develop menu, the crashes don't occur.
Let me know if there's any other information I can provide to help fix this.
