I'm seeing a similar issue, and don't have any sort of modifications to Safari
installed, although my Flash install is a debug version, not the normal
version. 

I haven't been using the site listed in the original report, but I have seen it
on Hulu and Youtube. It just started happening since I installed the debug
version of flash, and has been happening somewhat regularly. Safari has
actually been going into "uninterruptible wait" mode according to ps, and even
a kill -9 won't stop it.
