one more comment on my motivation: as all of you know, Chinese (or CJK) fonts
are huge, they can easily be over 10M in sizes, making it more difficult to
embed in web pages. However, high quality Chinese screen display traditionally
is achieved by embedding hand-tuned bitmaps. Creating a small truetype that
uses only the hand-tuned bitmap seems to be a highly desired way of making
Chinese (or CJK) webpages portable and viewed universally.
