I've had similar problems when running way newer versions of webkit around
rs-36xxx - 37xxx. I used Safari 4 developer preview 2 on Windows XP and have
had multiple tabs up and running when it unexpectly crashes without a warning
or a error message. 

It might be an issue where one of two of the pages make the Safari crash and
not necessarily just because there are a lot of tabs open, which the
replication of the bug seem to indicate.
