Steps to reproduce:
1) Set Gmail to remember your password so that going to http://mail.google.com/
takes you directly to your inbox.
2) Quit Safari.
3) Open Safari and go to http://mail.google.com/

Results:
Very often, loading the inbox never completes. The progress bar stays blue and
the Activity window shows  a request for
http://mail.google.com/mail/channel/bind?<...> as still loading.

Regression:
This happens almost always with TOT. It seems to happen much less frequently or
not at all with Safari 3.2.1, which also shows that the same request is in
progress but does not let it affect the overall loading state of the page.
