Summary: Webkit doesn't work in 64-bit
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 526+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: Macintosh
               URL: http://www.osirix-viewer.com/MiniBrowser.zip
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKit API
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: rossetantoine at bluewin.ch

There are multiple crashing bugs in Webkit in 64-bit.

I simply compiled the MiniBrowser example (see
/Developer/Examples/WebKit/MiniBrowser on your hard disk, and compile it in
64-bit). Many web sites will crash the Webkit framework: try for example,
http://www.apple.com.

I compiled the MiniBrowser sample as a x86_64 binary, it's available here:
http://www.osirix-viewer.com/MiniBrowser.zip (it's a x86_64 only binary).

The WebKit framework is distributed as a 32-bit and 64-bit binary under MacOS.
It allows us to use it in 64-bit application for built-in web access. That's
great, but.... it seems very unstable under 64-bit (ppc and Intel).

Please don't forget to test and debug the 64-bit version of WebKit. Safari
isn't a 64-bit application, but many 64-bit applications will probably rely on
the WebKit framework.
