It is incredibly unlikely that JavaScript on a web site will do anything that
would require a system reinstall.  It is also very unlikely that any JavaScript
executing inside Safari would have caused a third-party application to become
unlaunchable.  Can you please provide detailed steps that can be used to
reproduce the problem that you describe.
