Summary: can't login to website since Leopard 10.5.3 update
Product: WebKit
Version: 526+ (Nightly build)
Platform: Macintosh
URL: https://snsapp1.sns.ornl.gov/Logbook/WebObjects/Logbook.
woa
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Page Loading
AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
ReportedBy: pelaiata at ornl.gov
CC: pelaiata at ornl.gov
The electronic logbook at the above URL has worked for browsers across all
popular platforms including Safari and WebKit on both Tiger and Leopard until
the Mac OS 10.5.3 update. Since the 10.5.3 update, Safari 3.1.1 and the latest
WebKit nightly build are unable to get past the login page. When the user
enters their credentials, they never get to the next page. Instead, after
waiting several seconds, they receive a page stating that Safari cannot open
the page because the server is not responding. Note that other web browsers
(e.g. Camino) continue to work fine under Mac OS 10.5.3.
If someone from Apple would like to observe the problem, I can provide a read
only account in confidence.
