It still looks pretty cluttered to me at small font sizes, but it doesn't
really touch the baseline of the text, which is at least something.

Seeing as the positioning isn't very stable when sizing the font, it would be
suitable to change the algorithm to create a more logical output I think.

And the remark about the thickness of the line remains.
