Summary: DSL Modem Locks up after sleep mode.
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 525+ (Nightly build)
          Platform: Macintosh Intel
               URL: http://drudgereport.com
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Major
          Priority: P2
         Component: New Bugs
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: desertfalcon at mindspring.com

I am using a MacBook Pro with 2 megs of memory running Leopard 10.52. For about
3 weeks now, my modem exhibits the following symptoms after "Sleep" mode.

These symptoms occur when trying to load new webpage/site:

Modem Ethernet light is "on."
Modem DSL light is "on."
Modem "Transmit" light "off" (inactive)

The modem locks up and I receive a message that I am not connected to the
internet. The only way to reset the modem is by rebooting the computer; nothing
else works, to reset.

Could you build an "Automatic Modem Reset Check" into the software?
In other words a mechanism that would reset the modem when ever a new webpage
is requested.

Not sure what caused this problem but it appeared about three weeks ago.

Thank you.
