r=me. As already mentioned by Jungshik Shin in comment 4, there may be
follow-up work to do for rare characters that do not have precomposed form, or
for text that is encoded in decomposed form - but I don't expect this to come
up in practice often, and user expectations in these cases aren't obvious.
