Okay, afaict this is actually fixed in trunk -- to verify you'll need to run
Mail under a WebKit nightly, to do that you want to download a nightly then (on
the console)
DYLD_FRAMEWORK_PATH=/Full/Path/To/WebKit.app/Contents/Frameworks/10.5
/Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail 

And then try to reproduce the crash, i'm fairly sure it shouldn't happen if you
do that.
